She has that sparkle in her eyes. She is determined to figure out who is the better fighter. I sigh shaking my head, she never learns. “I am the Demon Prince. There is no way you can beat me.” I watch her eyebrows rise.
“What makes you so sure that you are unbeatable?” She flips her wrist out of my grasp.
I smile while my shadows sneak up behind her. “Have you really forgotten already?”
She tilts her head to the side and I know the second she realizes what she forgot about because she jumps at me. Standing there I wait for my goddess to get close enough. I put up a wall that she bounces right off of. I make a chair for her to fall into. I laugh and she glares at me.
“Not cool. Some of us don't have these amazing abilities like you.” She just sits there glaring at me.
“Having fun?” Beln is leaning against a pole here in the garden.
“How long have you been here?” I look from my goddess to Beln. My shadows push her up to a standing position next to me.
“Long enough.” He looks at Myst briefly before meeting my eyes once more. “We need to talk without her.”
“She is staying with me.” There is no hesitation.
“We need to talk without her.” He looks at me, then looks at her. “His father is waiting outside.”
I ground my teeth and release her. “Go talk to him.”
“What is he tries to attack me again?” She keeps her voice low but I know that Beln heard that.
“He shouldn't. If he does I am going to kick him out of this realm.” I reassure her so she will leave.
She nods before leaving. I look at Beln and he sighs. “I am not your actual brother. Nor am I the one you and the Goddess will need to worry about. Her sister who is ready to take over and your brother who was lost are the exceptions to one simple rule. They have both Angel and Devil in them.”
“Are you saying that you are not really my brother?” I know that is not the key detail but that is all I can focus on.
“No, I am not your brother.” Beln shuffles from foot to foot.
“Then who is my actual brother?” I would like to know who else I am bound to by blood.
“Quin”
